About Us

The Somali Association of Recruitment Agencies (SARA) was established on March 10, 2025, bringing together 21 employment agencies to promote overseas job opportunities for Somali workers under the theme “Unity for Citizen’s Welfare.”

SARA works closely with Somalia’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to implement key labor reforms while ensuring compliance with national and international laws. The organization advocates for fair and ethical recruitment, safeguarding the rights, safety, and dignity of migrant workers.

Additionally, SARA facilitates new labor agreements with international partners, expanding job opportunities abroad while supporting the growth and sustainability of its member agencies.

• Regulation & Compliance: Ensuring member agencies adhere to national and international labor laws, including ethical recruitment guidelines. • Worker Protection: Advocating for the rights and welfare of Somali workers, especially those seeking employment abroad.

• Capacity Building: Providing training, workshops, and certification programs to enhance the professionalism of recruitment agencies. • Job Market Development: Facilitating partnerships with employers, government agencies, and international organizations to create more job opportunities. • Dispute Resolution: Mediating conflicts between employers, agencies, and workers to ensure fair treatment.
